Caprock Canyon State Park is an ~4 hour drive into the lower Texas panhandle where you will find the third largest park in the state.  This is a geologic wonder, where the combination of wind and rain shaped the topography into what we see today!  Caprock has wonderful scenic hikes, biking opportunities, a nearby lake, and some gorgeous night sky watching!
